Connaught Place is built as three rings. The Inner Circle holds the colonnade and the older shops, the Middle and Outer Circles sit around it, and seven radial roads cut out from them towards Janpath, Barakhamba Road and Kasturba Gandhi Marg. Blocks are lettered rather than named, so an address here is a block letter and a circle, not a street. Tell us both when you call. A driver who is given only CP can lose twenty minutes going round the wrong ring.
Rajiv Chowk sits directly under the middle of it, where the Yellow Line and the Blue Line cross, and it is the busiest interchange on the network. A girl travelling from almost any part of the city gets here with one change, so we can confirm a time for CP faster than for most areas. The circles are one-way and the parking under Palika fills by about seven on a weekend evening, so on a Friday or Saturday she comes by metro and walks the last stretch. Karol Bagh is three stops west on the Blue Line if your room is on that side.
The Inner Circle is where the evening happens. Old rooms like United Coffee House and Wenger's sit a few doors from the newer bars in N and L Block, and most of them serve until around one in the morning. Men who call us from here are usually finishing a dinner, or an office evening on Barakhamba Road or Kasturba Gandhi Marg, so the calls land in a tight window between about nine and midnight.
Hotels sit a short walk off the circles rather than on them. The Park on Sansad Marg, the older properties along Janpath and Minto Road, and the serviced apartments behind Barakhamba Road cover most of what our CP bookings use. Their night rules are not the same, so name the building when you call and we brief her before she leaves. If you would rather write than talk, the details are on our contact page.
